Surgeon Appt Tomorrow!

I am so darn nervous!!! My appt w/my surgeon is tomorrow! I haven't been approved per se for the surgery just the surgeon then he does the final okay... Anyways...what to expect? I need your imput! Help me out! Thanks! xoxoxojenn

My surgeon went over his personal statistics and all the possible complications. He wanted to make sure I was making an informed decision. He also inquired about my history, eating patterns, diet attempts, etc. My surgeon sent his report to my PCP and he is waiting on another referral from my PCP for the actual surgery. Once he gets that, we'll schedule a date. Good luck to you!

Jenn, My process was a little different.. I went to an informational seminar first.. then had a consultation with my surgeon.. I asked a TON of questions at the seminar and then at my consult, my surgeon asked ME a bunch of questions.. His questions were along the lines of the same questions I was asked at my Psych Eval.. and I think he was just getting an idea for how much I knew and understood about the procedure and the way my life would be after surgery.. I think he was also gauging my dedication to this process. The consultation is pretty low-key.. IMO.. nothing to be worried or nervous about.. but do make sure you understand the risks and the requirements you'll likely have to follow post-op.. even if it's just what you've learned from other people on this site.. being educated is going to take you a long way in the eyes of your surgeon.
