ANYONE HAVE IPA FOR A SECONDARY INSURANCE?

HI, DOES ANYONE HAVE IPA FOR A 2NDARY INSURANCE? HOW DOES IT WORK WITH THIS SURGERY? DO YOU HAVE TO WAIT LONGER FOR AN APPROVAL AND GO THRU A BUNCH OF RIGGA~MA~ROLL? ANY SUGGESTIONS, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.....JULIE

I have public aid, but its the only insurance I have right now. I had my consult with my surgeon on Oct 18th, the nutritionist on Nov 8. Had to have a psych eval done, (Dec 3rd) then had to wait a few days to get that to my surgeons. Once everything was in, Ann, Dr. O's nurse, submitted my info to public aid on Dec 17th, and was approved on Dec 27th. I recieved my approval letter in the mail on Dec 31st. All public aid required was the psych eval, then the norm that your surgeons office has you do(attempted weight loss history,etc) Best of luck!!

I have medicare 1st then IPA, and it didnt take long at all. In fact the dr. forgort to put down the IPA so i actually paid a co-pay that i might get back now. Good luck Giovanna
