Just wanted to drop by my home board tonight and let you know I wont be posting any more. Now, I've always ABSOLUTELY HATED when people came here and said "I'm leaving!" Really hated it. However, tonight on the main board was the last straw for me. I posted about the behavior on the main board for @the last 2 weeks or so, asking why everyone is so mean lately...and saying that 2 years ago I came here for support and to gain knowledge, and what happened to that? I also said that many 'old timers' like myself come to read but dont reply anymore because it just becomes a flame war it seems, every other thread. Well, my thread was pulled less than 2 minutes after I posted. Which is fine, this is a privately owned board..and if the mods dont like what you say, theyre well within their rights to pull it. However, I dont have to like it, and for that reason, will no longer be posting here, or there. I've made a lot of great friends here, and hope to keep in touch with you. Congrats to a great bunch of dedicated, hard-working, intelligent people. Some of the best I've ever met. Thank you for your encouragement, your kind words, and your kicks in the ass when needed. As for me, I'll concentrate on work and school, as well as keeping up with home. Please do keep your fingers crossed for me as far as my plastics. I've decided to give that part to God and let him do what he will with it..and try not to obsess about it any more. Please email me to keep me posted on your progress!!! I havent decided yet whether or not I'll keep updating my journal here..ya never know Best wishes to everyone for continued successes!!

hey sweets you know we have not had the best track record and now that we are finally getting along your leaving??? WTF??? Just stay here with us no one needs the "mean" board when you got us here... Your needed here because of your experiences, your words are appreciated your support and enthusiasm is felt by all who have been graced with your reply's... Take a break relax take a deep breath and realize that some people lost more than weight and that you cant get that back... There are preops out there that need to see your success to help push them along. If you decide to make this permanent then I hope you get your PS, I hope it all works out for you, I hope school is successful for you and that all your dreams are realized. Debby

Kathy, I cannot tell you how many times I have had somebody snap at me for one reason or another. Ther are so many members on this boars that we are bount to **** someone off for almost anything we write. I know that I find great needed support on these boards and I know you have too. Don't let the actions of a few people get to you. If anything, just post on the Illinois boards. I rarely see anyone get mean on here, and the only one I see get nasty on a regular basis is Jason You know you will miss the support, and we will miss your support. Please don't leave!!!! There's been a LOT of crap on the main boards here lately. It sucks, IMHO. I'm very sad that you feel that that's driven you away from here. There is still a LOT of suport to be gleaned right here on your home board though. I do hope that you will reconsider at some point, or at least give us updates as to how you're doing - you'd better keep your azz in contact with me anyways! Kathy, you can't leave! Since when would you let someone chase you away?? That is not the Kathy I know. Besides, you are VERY needed here on the Illinois Board. There are other lost helpless Pre-Op's that need your help like I did a year and a half ago. I don't think I could have survived the process without you. Not only are you Very knowledgeable about this surgery, but you're the most awesome support person. With that being said, please reconsider leaving the Illinois Board. My dear angelette, nice try attempting to quit the boards but you forgot about a few things. Here are Dawn's Top 5 Reasons for Staying on the Boards: 1. You love the boards and they love you. You have been an inspiration to many and choosing to stop inspiring people is not your nature. 2. The opinion of one does not represent the opinion of all. Look the other way when people try to bring you down. You are bigger then them (although in reality you are smaller then most - physically that is). p.s. I'm jealous. 3. You just got a beautiful new picture. If you stopped posting we wouldn't get to see your smiling face. 4. I didn't give birth to no quitters and as your official Angel I must insist you retract your previous decision. and finally (drum roll please)........................ 5. If you think you will escape flaming by avoiding the boards you are sadly mistaken.
