YIPPEE Aliens to be Irradicated!! PS Approval

HAPPY>>>HAPPY>>>>JOY...JOY!!!!!! Got the phone call from the plastic surgeons office yesterday that my insurance appeal for PS on my TT had been approved finally...My hernia repair was approved 2 months ago but THANKS to OH and a sample letter for PS that I sent to my insurance I won approval. My hernias have been affectionately called my alien heads> They are very prominant and I have had to wear my band for over 6 months to keep them contained... There are three to be exact and I do believe there is a fourth one lurking lower towards the belly button. My Bariatric surgeon will be doing the hernia repair Dr. Sutyak and instead of mesh he will be inserting a pc of plastic to keep my alien heads at bay. He thought this would most definately prevent them from rearing their ugly heads back up later.... I am so ectastic...Thanks to Sassy Cathy for pointing to the wonderful appeal letter from another lady on OH.com I know that this letter is what made all the difference in my case. I just reworded it and added my statistics making it almost 6 pages that I sent. It took exactly 36 days for the appeal to be reconsidered with United Healthcare... Ramona
