After you hit your goal...
So I am day dreaming a lot about the skinny on things....
For all those who are post op...if you have hit your goal weight, What was the first thing you did? Did you buy a whole new wardrobe? Celebrate w/friends or family? Get in a bathing suit? Hmmm just curious
What about you pre surgery clients? What do you want to do first?
Since I haven't had the surgery yet...
I want to go swimming in a public pool w/o a Tshirt, or go someplace tropical and not worry about wearting shorts!
Just curious...xoxoxojenn
I am PO by 21 months. I have not reached my goal but am very close. I have 12# to go and a lot of that is from loose skin and some of it is in my boobs and upper arms so I will not go down to much of a smaller size. I had PS scheduled but had to wait because of an overactive thyroid problem that needs to be fixed first. But, anyways enough of that.
I really have been buying new clothing all along. I have been going to a lot of resale shops, charity and consignment and have bought some new, new stuff all the way along. You just have to buy your undies new, yucky thought buying from a resale shop even though they say that they were given to them and claim that they are new. So that is something new right there. Sometimes, as an incentive I will buy a top, sweater or maybe jeans at a resale shop that is too small and set a goal for myself to get into it.
I had wanted to buy a slinky little black dress when I was at goal, but already bought that for a cruise last year. . . . probably does not fit me anymore. What are some of my other goals? Well, I have been achieving them all along. You will find when you are a few months out that it will happen to you, you will meet mini goals and have your dreams come true early on. It will also depend on how much you have to loose also. I was a light weight with 111# to loose.
That is about all I can think of. If I think of more I will do another post.
When I lost 100 pds I went and changed my hair style. Had it colored and cut into a shorter more attractive style. The 100 pd mark was also a milestone for me to buy a brand new swimsuit. I had bought some at Goodwill for water aerobics but I wanted a NEW one. I put it on layaway and when I picked it up had to exchange the bottoms for a smaller size..It was a two pc but one of those ones that cover your belly.
I am at goal weight now and I have been contemplating having my nails done but I think I need something better than that for goal weight..SO I am going to contemplate on that longer, it is an important reward for me.
Good luck to you.
