Anyone know about Liv Lite???

Hi...My name is Chelle...I am new to the board and after having a horrilble experience at the Wish Center am now inquiring about Liv Lite in Chicago. Has anyone Dealt with them that can tell me anything about them or the Dr;s...Thanks soooooooooooo much

No, sorry do not know anything about them. They do have a banner every once in a while on these boards. I went with the WISH Center that is not too far from you in Downers. My husband went with Suburban Surgical Care, which is also known as New Self Bariatrics. They are out of Elk Grove Village. There is also a bariatric center in Evergreen Park at Little Company of Mary Hospital. I think the name of that program is Midwest Bariatric Institute. So, you should be able to find a bariatric doctor around here in the Chgo area. Where is Liv Lite located at in the burbs? If you have anymore questions just ask and welcome to the IL board.

Hi Christine, Thank you for your reply...I went to the Wish Center first...I had my 5 hour appointment Monday and was all set to go until my 8 week pre-op appt when they told me I needed a $4000 deposit on top of my insurance which will cover it? Needless to say I was crushed and left in tears...so now I have to start all over!! But I did really like them and would have liked to use them. I especially liked Dr. Rosen. Oh Well... Did you have Gastric Bypass or the Lap Band? How did you do with your surgery? I am very nervous so any thing you can tell me good or bad would be much appreciated!! God Bless Chelle

Chelle, Sorry i did not see that you had a horrible experience with WI**** was real early this morning that I posted, not quite awake yet. I would be interested in knowing what your problem was with WISH, I had my surgery there and had a wonderful experience with the whole process. Chris

Da, again I did not look at your reply. I had open gastric bypass. I had Dr Rosen as you did at your appointment and really think that he is a great doctor. I am sorry that you had a bad experience. I did not have to have my deposit into them until I went for my second appointment? Did you think that you had to have it to them at your first appointment? It wasn't something I was expecting but I wanted my surgery with them so bad that my husband & I found the money. Have you called their finance department and asked them how you can make arrangements to make payments between now and then? Sweety, I think that you should reconsider WISH if you can swing it financially. I really think that they have a well rounded program, probably one of the best in the area. My husband went through New Self Bariatrics and he DOES NOT have the program that WISH has. Keep me posted, Chris

Hi Chris, I am glad you had a good experience at Wish. They did tell me to have the deposit for my visit at 8 weeks. I just don't have that kind of money..as my Husband has had some major issues with an XWife that owes us money. I did call and talk to the Finance manager and he was unwilling to budge on the Deposit. So at this point I am moving on...but I do appreciate all your information!! Liv Lite seems to have a good rounded program...I guess I will find out. God bless Chelle
