Michelle

OK after some confusion and me waiting forever for them to tell me Michelle was in her room I finally got up there... I talked to the surgeon (he thinks michelle and I are sisters cause well we told them we were LOL damn hippa laws!!! ) Anyway she had a couple issues with her liver size and anestia (sorry can't spell nuttin today) But nothing major and they were still able to do her surgery Lap but it just took a bit longer than normal. She was having some discomfort but nothing major.. She's down doing her swallow test this morning, (dr. fred told me it wouldnt be done till sunday!!) Melissa is going to take her binder up to Michelle today though because the hospital didnt have one to accomodate her so they put two together and that was just a waste it wouldnt stay snug... She did get up in the chair for a couple hours and walked a few circles around the room... Today they will have her walking the halls. Michelle had the same nurse I had and she remembered me and my mom "the snatch" woman WE did have a great time in the hotel the room, with Melissa and Stef,, Jason we got photographic evidence for you that Melissa and I do EVERYTHNG together... LOL IF you havent signed Michelles page please do I am sure when she gets home tomorrow she will love reading the emails. Debby

Hi Debby! That's so great to hear that Michelle is doing so well. I know what you mean about the HIPPA laws! When my mom was in the hospital ICU, they would only let family in ... she doesn't have any sisters, but during that week she had 3 sisters all named Linda who came to see her LOL and a couple others, too! How nice to here that Michelle is doing well. This makes me feel reaaaaal good because Dr.Fred will be performing his majic on me hopefuly sometime soon. Hello debby. I visited Michelle today She looks awesome. We took a couple turns around the nurse's station. I'm amazed that she's doing soo good. I was such a baby on my second day out of surgery. SHe's doing fantastic and is getting up and around great. She has very minor discomfort. Mostly from where her IV is at. I'm sure she will be fine. SHe told me you guys had her cracking up all last night thursday. I "reminded" that darn nurse to "Page" the surgeon because she PASSED HER LEAK TEST and she was feeling hungry. So a couple hours later I left and she was going to take a nap.. Hopefully by now, the doctor has seen her and has cleared her...all she wanted was ICE CHIPS poor thing. Everyone Keep Praying. Gracie I am so glad you got to go up and see her... When I talked to her they were still not giving her any food or ice chips. They said because she has no bowel sounds that she couldnt have anything... She's keeping her spirits up though!! I am so glad she's not having a lot of pain, I told her if she could avoid the pain meds she's gonna feel better faster she won't be so tired all the time... but of course if she's hurting to take em!! I am bothered by this no bowel sounds though... Debby
