anyone? someone?
Nicole did I read correctly in your profile that you are on Medicaid? If so there are a few people on this board that are going to a doc that takes medicaid...if you aren't then I'm sorry I don't have any helpful information but I will be thinking about you and wishing you the best in your journey.
~hugs~

Hey Nicole,
I live in southern Illinois and am on medicaid and I am planning on seeing Dr. Oliphant in Urbana. I have an ex in law who lives in south pekin who was/is on medicaid and she went to peoria but I am not sure who she used. I have to go to work right now but I will contact her and get some info for you and post this afternoon after 3 pm. She is very helpful and has talked to me alot about this and she know others who can help if she can't. Hope this gives you some light back at the end of the tunnel, hang in there it will get better. Feel free to email me if you like at [email protected]

I live in Bloomington, and I am going to Urbana to have my surgery and Dr. Oliphant will take Medicaid. Have you checked with Dr. Thomas Rossi's office in Peoria? I have a good friend that had Lap RNY 2 years ago and he was her surgeon and she just loves him. I don't know if he takes Medicaid or not, but it never hurts to let your fingers do the walking and call and ask. The worst they can do is say no and then you call the next one.
Good luck!
Cindy
Where do you live in Illinois? What type of insurance does your husband have. Is this WLS an exclusion? Name of Insurance. PPO, HMO, etc. I am going through this now. It's a major pain, but I am getting things done that are surprising. Squeaky wheel type of stuff. Medicaid is an option. It may end up being my option, but I don't know if I financially qualify. Don't get upset. email me [email protected].
