stitch working out?

I called the DR. this a.m. I may have a stitch working out of one incision. I live 3 hours away so I am going to monitor it closely. Ever heard of it? Lucky ME! Pam

I had a stitch that poked through my skin at one point. I think I just clipped it off and never thought about it again.

Pam thats not a big thing to worry about jus****ch it and maybe put a dab of neosporin on it sometimes they can act as a wick for infection and the neo will prevent that. Debby

ok, Thanks but now I have 2 incisions with stitches working out. Why can't they just dissolve like they are suppose to.

Pam, I had one also, and ended up clipping it. They don't use dissolving stitches because of the possibility of hernia. They stitches need to stay in as long as possible. Terry
