Pych eval is done
Hello everyone, sorry has been so long since i posted. All is going well. Had my pych eval today and the doc said i was "mentally" ok to have surgury. I should know in a couple of weeks whether or not i'm approved for surgury. Can't wait. I did run into a lady at the office today who is familar with my insurance and she said they are the fastest and easiest to get approved by. I sure hope she was right.
Way to go all of you who have had surgury in the last few months, I enjoy reading about your success. I may not post often, but i always check out the site everyday to see what is going on.

Congrats on your surgury date. I can't wait till i can come on the boards and say the same thing. It seems like ever since i started this journey i've "let myself go" as i was politely told by my husband last night. I have gained 15 to 20 lbs since Oct when i quit smoking. Definietely need to get a handle on things

OMG>.you wont believe this..I failed my first eval..my doctor said some harsh mean things about me, being co-dependant, addicted to drugs, stuff like that..based on me going out on weekends and drinking. I had to go get a second one done somewhere..and yes IM MENTALLY COMPIDENT!! LOL (one out of two doctors say)
My doc was pretty decent i think. I asked him point blank if everything looked okay. His response: you are mentally able to handle this surgery. He never said i was sane.
He did however keep refering to when i have the surgery different things i can expect. From that, i feel like he will give the go ahead from his end anyway.
Doc did make a point of talking about drugs and alcohol, had i ever been hospialized or had a problem with it. When i was 17, yes, but that was 20 years ago. He just commented that i was a wild child when i told him of all my different professions over the years
I did enjoy my younger days, thats for sure!!!
