I'll be up next week. Sunday night and monday. Monday I have my test done. Do people go with out there meds for a few weeks after sugery?

Hi Daisy, I was on 7 meds before surgery.I stopped all meds day of surgery.My blood pressure was high while I was in the hospital.They started me on a different med in hospital to bring it down.After being released,I was only on 1 pill for BP(same medicine I took before surgery).At my 5 week check up,my incision was not "closed" in 2 spots.I am a type 2 diabetic(no insulin).My sugars were better than before surgery.(due to wt.loss,better eating).But,my sugars were not as good as Dr. wants them.So,I started back on 1 pill for diabetes(to help heal incision).I'm now 8 weeks post op.I've lost 45 pounds(YAHOO!!!!).My blood pressure normally runs 110/70.My sugar runs low 100's(100-120).My incision has closed(Yahoo!!!!!).I see my regular physician on Feb21st.I'm going to see if she will let me go without meds to see if wt.loss/diet/exercise will be enough(CROSSED FINGERS!!!).I hope this helps you with your question.If not,please feel free to email me,personally.
