New Date--!?!

I have a new date- March 28th. I am NOT holding my breath. Still no word from the insurance company. Hopefully they have ALL the paperwork this time. Gee- I told myself I wasn't going to get frustrated about all this- "what will be, will be"-- but it's so hard to have no control over who sends what to whom (or doesn't send, as the case may be). Every now and then my surgeon calls to remind me that the "squeaky wheel gets the grease," but nobody ever tells me who's supposed to be listening to all this squeaking! Meanwhile, I'm still so tired I can hardly get out of bed in the morning. I feel sick and exhausted almost all the time. I miss work too often, and I hardly ever do anything fun. Just too tired. Well, thanks for listening to my rant! I will carry on...

who says you have no control? You might not be able to have your actual hands on the paperwork.. but you can call.. inquire.. find out.. if they're missing something, track it down and get it sent.. You don't have to lie quietly and wait for things happen to you.. you have a phone and a brain and the will -- use those things to your advantage and be involved in the process! One of the best things I ever did was get on the phone and talk to my insurance company. It helped my outlook and when I got approved, I felt like I'd had a little something to do with it.. it gave me ownership. Keep your chin up, Gail. You'll get there! Stef, Yeah- that's why I'm so frustrated! I've called everybody whose phone number I can lay my hands on- I've been to every one of my doctor's offices and picked up my own paperwork and faxed it to anybody who even hinted that I should. And it STILL isn't all in the right place yet! Some of it got lost... someone didn't notice until WAY too late that the surgeon's office had never filed with my primary insurance, only the secondary. The items on the list the primary insurance gave me the first time around (Sept.) were all sent in- then I get a letter saying it's denied because they don't have a) and b)-- which they never asked for before! So then the surgeon's office cancels my date (Dec.27), and thus the secondary insurance cancels ITS approval... and so I'm back to square one again. There's no such thing as getting a straight answer. Sometimes you get an answer, but it's not to the question you asked!! So... that's what I mean by no control. I can't control whose right hand doesn't know what somebody else's left hand is doing. OOOOh- I'm going CROSS-EYED!!!!
