The two things that saved me were a small personal fan and lots and lots of flavored chapstick. I hope this helps. Diana

I took my own shampoo and conditioner (the little trial size ones) and a brush (they only have combs). I would also take some lotion and slippers. Also I would take some extra pillows. I'll let you know if I think of anything else.

Well, the PAT testing isn't bad at all. You will talk to: The Nutritionist The Nurse (she will tell you about pain management and all that stuff) Dr Tsinmin(Cinnamon) He will push around on your stomach some They will take your blood pressure and weigh you You'll have to give a urine sample (usually first thing) You'll go to the lab and they will take some blood and maybe do a blood gas test They will take pictures of your chest and if you still have your gallbladder they will look at that too. It takes about 2 and a half hours if I remember right... Jeff, Terry, Paula... did I live anything out?

No, you covered it. I concur on the shampoo, the stuff they had was horrendous, and made my hair look like the bride of Frankenstein. I also brought my own pillow, which really helped, and my own pajamas and slippers. It didn't make it like "home" but it made me feel a little more human. And as Jeff said, there were some days that I didn't want to read or watch TV, and even though I had books and my laptop, I didn't really do any of that. Luckily, it's just a few days, and then you'll be home. Terry

Unless I think of something else before I go. Knowing me, I'll try packing up the whole house..lmao
