waiting.......

The paperwork is in... finally. They actually had to mail it twice to BCBS IL because they said they didn't get it the first time! So, I called last Friday and they finally got my stuff. So, now how often should I call to see if I have an answer???? The waiting is the worse part of this! I am a nervous wreck. I want to call like every 10 minutes! My friend, who also is waiting says she is scared to call too often she's afraid it might look bad....I wouldn't think so? I would love to hear how often you all called to bug them and how long it took before you finally heard the answer!! Michelle

Hello Michelle, My consultation was dec 7th. I called the doctors December 27 to see if they sent the papers to the insurance yet. They told me they did! Dec 21st. They said if they hadn't heard from the insurance by Jan 5 then they would call the insurance for me. I called the insurance Jan 6th and asked if they got my paper work. they said yes and that an approval letter went out in the mail the jan 5th.. So I called my doctors office and told them. They asked if I had recieved a letter in the mail yet and I said no. They said it takes a week to get every thing processed. so I waited a week. I never recieved a letter from my insurance. The doctors office recieved an approval letter and now I have a date. Feb 7th. Just two months from my first consultation appointment. I hope this helps. I recieved my letter yesterday.
