DR EAGON

HI EVERYONE!! I POSTED YESTERDAY THAT MY INSURANCE IS NOT BEING VERY COOPEARTIVE AND THEY TOLD ME THAT I COULD SEE DR EAGON IN ST LOUIS. I AM GOING TO APPEAL MY INSURANCE AS FAR AS I CAN TO GET TO SEE DR. ARGOTTE BUT IF I HAVE TO SWITCH I GUESS I WILL. HAS ANYBODY SEEN DR. EAGON OR HAD SURGERY BY HIM?? NANETTE

I tried getting an appointment with him a couple years ago and they told me he was booked until 2006. Now, I dont know if that is because I'm on Medicaid or what.(I'm assuming so.) I have a friend that went to Dr. Eagon and she HIGHLY reccomends him. She has lost 340 lbs since she had surgery 2 yrs ago and looks great. I have heard nothing but the best about him from others also. That being the reason I tried to go to him first. What drs did they reccommend you go to at Carle? Oliphant and Rocheib(sp??) The best of luck with your appeal. Keep us up on what happens.

Nanette I live in St. Louis area and Dr. Eagon has an excellent rep. I am like Lori and on medicaid and he only does so many of those a year, with regular insurance you will have no problem getting in to see him. I know a few people who have used him, Post on the Missouri board maybe there will be some there who have had him and will give you some info. He is out of BArnes Jewi****hink which is one of the best hospitals in the country so you definately can't go wrong going with him. Debby

Thank you for the info, i am still working on trying to get Dr. Argotte but i guess if i dont have a choice with all the attempts and appeals that i am amking i will have to pick someone else. Lora yes the 2 Drs that you listed are the ones that my insurance covers but i just dont want to have to go to Champaign for surgery, i hate to be so picky but my son is only 7 and i feel if there is a surgeon that is only 45min from my house as apposed to 2 1/2 to 4 1/2 hrs from my house i should have that option.
