diet pepsi?

I am thinking no, but..... can you tell me if diet pepsi is a clear liquid? This is my 4th day on clear liquid fast and it is getting BORING!!! broth, hot & sour soup, watered down grape juice, sugar free popsicles and don't forget the green bean casserole - I mean JELLO........lol I guess this is just the beginning. I wouldn't...just because of the carbonation. But Then again, you haven't had the surgery. ONE will not kill you. But I'd stick to your clear liquid diet. I think your surgeon is doing that clear liquid diet so if you have a fatty liver it won't get in the way. Oy, I hope you don't have to be on clear liquid diet after surgery for too long, imagine if your gettin tired of it after 4 days... I was on them for nearly a month.....YUK. When I worked in a hospital kitchen we gave sprite to clear liquids, and sierra mist, but nothing brown. I would say since you are pre-op it should be fine... but maybe you should call your doctors office and ask them. Good luck!! Are you getting excited?

It would be "considered" a clear liquid.. because there's no floaters in it.. but the sodium content and caffeine is going to do you no good at all.. I would steer clear of soda entirely. Try crystal light or SF tang.. those helped me when I couldn't stand having no flavor or *watered down* flavor.. Hang in there.. only a couple more days!! Stef
