Your opinions....

My ex has a child (3 months old) with a drunk who does crazy ass things at random...she lives in another state but showed up at his door last night WITH the baby that he has never met (here in IL). He wants to know if he can introduce the baby to MY daughter (just turned 8) who adores her dad and hates the thought of him moving on in his life and making another family. Do I let her meet this kid that she probaby will never have a relationship with or do I stand my ground and just have pictures sent to her later on in life or maybe let her meet him when they are older? (She already knows that the baby exists just hasn't SEEN him yet...I think putting a face to the name with just make it harder on her?!?!?) So friggin' confused and tired of this ****!!! Jen

wow, thats a tough one. Beings that your daughter knows about the situtation, why not ask her what she want to do. That way, its totally up to her and she cant get mad at you for making the decision for her. thats just my opinion. Hope things work out for all of you.

Well, I was in your daughter's postition so my opinion is a very OPINIONATED one. It's very painful to see him moving on and it's bad enough that you KNOW but then you have to SEE. I would keep her away. If the baby isn't going to be a consistent person in her life, it will upset her more to know that the REAL THING exists and she can't have any part of it. HUGS Melissa

Feedlesweetie...long time no see!!! As someone who has steps myself..KEEP THE BABY AWAY from your daughter. Its too confusing when people are in and out of your life like that. As sad as it is, I think she's better off not being involved with the child Call me sometime!
