Tonight's Support Group

Central DuPage's Bariatric Treatment Center in Winfield has support groups too on Mondays and misc. other days. The ones I have attended to so far have been great! Peggy

That's too bad they group is great, and of course there is the added benefit of Judy the super nurse!

That is not true about the Wish Center not wecoming patients from other doctors because they just opened their support group up back in October to patients from other doctors. Where do you live? I go to a small support group in Itasca that is a spin off from the Alexian Brothers support group. There is a fee involved with belonging to the support group if you did not have your surgery with them. Christine

Thanks for the information about the Wish Center. I was not aware they had opened there group meetings to others. The last time I spoke to a Wish Center patient, which was prior to October I was told they do not allow others to come to their meetings. I am now a year post op and just wanted to be sure there will be support out there when our group closes. I am very close to the Wish Center in Aurora. Debbie

Hello To All, I had a great time at the meeting.It's so fun to meet people who understand what we're going through.I love the comraderie.I went out scavenger hunting with a neighbor named Dawn.She's awaiting approval for lap band.We went to goodwill store,and I bought a pair of navy blue dressy pants for church.OMG!!! Size 18!!!!! That's 4 sizes down in 6 weeks!!!!!(((dancing around house getting funny looks!!!!))))) Paula

size 18?!?! thats so awesome! I haven't been an 18 since I was in middle school!
