Tonight's Support Group

I love going to the support group. It makes me feel like I'm part of a big gastric bypass family!! Tonight's meeting started with me not reconginzing Paula!! She looks fantastic!! Terry has also definately shed some pounds!! I was so glad to meet Tammie (don't be nervous it's going to be great!!). I was hoping to meet Konni, but she wasn't able to make it . And of course, Judy was great... Judy we love you! We learned about some vitamins, that I probably can't afford anyways, but the best part of the meeting is always chatting and sharing and learning from other people's experiences!! Jeff wish you could come to the meetings, but I know how far they are for you! I hope everyone else has a great support group too!

Sweety, about vitamins, you cannot afford NOT to take them. In the long run you could be setting yourself up for medical problems down the road. Try to find the money to buy them. Surely, you should be able to afford children's Flintstone Chewable? Try to make every effort to at least get those into you. Chris

I take Centrum adult chewables, I just couldn't afford the ones they were selling at the meeting. They seemed like a good idea, just expensive. Thanks for being concerned!! Brooke

Brooke, Where is your support group.? The hospital where I had my surgery is no longer doing the surgery and I understand at the end of the year they will no longer have a support group for us either. I would love to find another group that welcomes people who did not have their surgery at that facility. I know the Wish Center does not welcome others. Deb Ski

It's in Belvidere at the Barix clinic (it's by Rockford). I'm not sure where you are from, but it's a great time! I know people who have had their surgery in other places come sometime!

Thanks Brooke. I am not that far from DeKalb, but Belvidere is about 1 1/2 hours away. I need to find something closer I think. Debbie
