Walgreens and Optisource
Chris,
I know.. I don't have a problem with getting enough calcium.. I was just saying that your concern came up in our class and that's how they explained it.
How are you doing? When are you going to give me the address of your secret resale store in Itasca so I can go find clothes as I shrink?!
Stef
Okey dokey Stef my dear and for anyone else that is interested. The resale shops I go to in my area are, one in Wood Dale run by Marklund group home for the mentally challanged. It is on Irving Park Rd and Prospect Ave (SE corner, shopping center called Georgetown) just at the eastern edge of Itasca but actually in Wood Dale. I found 3 Christmas sweaters there that were in fantastic shape. I also get most of my jeans (usually only about $3.90) there and have also found some fantastic everyday sweaters. I wear a uniform to work everyday and really do not need much clothing but since I have lost weight I am a real clothes hound. There is another charity shop in Addison run by St Vincent dePaul Society. I have gotton a lot of tops there and a few jeans. I just do not go to it as often, not that it is far it is just that I am now running out of space in my closet and do not have another closet for more. The husband is becoming a real clothing hound also since his WLS, his closet is getting full also. There is a fantastic resale shop in Old Towne Bloomingdale at the corner of Lake St(route 20) and Bloomingdale Rd (Sw corner). The shop is called The Walk In Closet. It is a consignment shop so the prices are a little more. The shop owner does not take any clothing that is in poor shape or more than 2 years old so the styles are still nice. The prices are about 1/2 of what you would pay in a regular store. I have found a couple great outfits there and accessories. There are several other charity shops in the suburban area, Salvation Army and Good Will have shops all over. Go to their web sites for the locations. There is a Salvation Army store in Streamwood on Irving Park Rd about 5-7 miles west of Itasca. I have gone there a few times.
The only thing at these charity shops is that you really cannot buy a complete really nice outfit unless you go to a consignment shop. If you are content with mix and match these shops are for you. They mostly have casual clothing. I have gotten a few nice winter and fall coats at the shops. I just got a really nice long down coat at a resale shop in Wisconsin for only $15, just had to wa**** and replace some buttons. Later on today I will put this response on the board as a help to all the other newbies. I have a few other shops but do not have the info in front of me to add at this time.
Hope this all helps. Are you still working in Itasca at Boise/Office Max? Well, gotta get ready for work, yuck today is my 8-4 day I hate getting home at that time. Usually I work 7-3 and love it. One day a week I go in at 8. Chris
