Surgery date already

Well good morning all and what a beautiful rainy Monday this has started out to be. I was phoned with a surgery date this am. I will be having surgery January 18........VA VA VA VOOM! It is so hard to believe it is finally happening. My pre op testing is January 11 and 13. I have to go on clear liquids the 11. I am not even sure what this is. Can anyone please tell me or suggest what clear liquids I should take. Does that mean drink only? I am such a medical - retard! I am so excited. Thought I would ******vous wreck but I am not, at least so far. I am so ready to take control of my life again. Well, I would love to have a mentor to walk me thru all of this. So gald I found this site. I love it... Real people not trying to impress anyone. I have been reading here for a almost a year. Thanks for listening. Appreciate ALL suggestions. God Bless, Pamela

HI!!! CONGRATS ON THE DATE!!!!! Clear liquids for me pre-op were water, soda, coffee, jello, popsickles, broth. It was hard, but very worth it!!!! Take care - can't wait to see you on the losing side!!! Katie
