I'VE GOT NEWS!!!!!

Ok, as ya'll know, I've been going to Dr. Oliphants and they have submitted my insurance to Public Aid. Well, the submitted it on Dec 17th and I got my approval in the mail TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM SOOO HAPPY. WHAT A WAY TO START OUT THE NEW YEAR. Now my next question is for Debby, Michelle, Biscuit, anyone who has had public aid... on the bottom, it says: Description Beg. Date ............................... Quantity End Date Gastric Proc w/Gas bypass/Morb ........ 001.........06/16/2005 12/17/2004 OK that 6/16,what is that?? When my card expires? please tell me thats not my surgery date..lol Anyone that could help, I'd be sooo greatful. And do I wait for his office to call or can I call and tell them I've been approved and see about scheduling a date?? lol ... yes, now I'm VERY impatient. Thanks!!

I don't have public aid but I would guess it's the approval dates, meaning your approval is good from 12/17-6/16 (six months)...but I could be wrong!

Congradulations Lora. I don't know about public aid but when i received my letter i called them and they hadn't received my approval yet.I had to fax them the letter and They call to verify coverage and i had a date that day.They told me it was 4 or 5 day before they received it so it was good that i called.Just make sure you can fax the approval letter over.I'm so happy for you.I rember how i felt on December 13,2004 when i received my ok.i had the sugery 14 days later.I wanted to make sure they didn't have time to change there mine.Happy new year.I hope this helps.Jeff

Just means you got till that date to have surgery, if not you gotta do it again... Did Dr. O's office give you a surgery date ? WOOOOHOOO I'm so excited for you!!!! Debby

no, I just got my approval in the mail from Public Aid today. Ya think they'd have it yet or maybe I can call and see about getting a date? lol
