Springfielders!!

Hi!! I'm new to the board, but I need some help/advice/assistance- I'm scheduled for my panniculectomy/abdominoplasty on January 11th, but I can't find any info. on or previous bariatric patients to give me the scoop on my surgeon, Dr. Beth Bergman. Does anybody have any scoop on her? I think she's nice, and she treated me well, but I'd like some references, you know? What if she's never done this big of a tuck- we are talking a grade 3 going on grade 4 pannus here. Am I just suffering pre-op jitters? Help!!

Hi Dawn! Welcome to the IL boards! Congratulations on your upcoming surgery and your success with WLS! There is a place here where you can look up surgeons but Dr. Bergman wasn't on there. I haven't heard of her, but hopefully someone lurking around will be able to help you more! Hi and welcome!!!! I don't have any info about bariatric patients with Dr. Bergman, however, I have a co-worker that went to her after a car accident for reconstructive surgery and absolutely loved her. In fact, when our insurance changed last year, and then didn't cover Dr. Bergman's group, this woman insisted she continue to go to her for follow-up surgeries, and paid out-of-pocket. Thanks for all of the info. & well wishes!! It makes a huge difference in keeping the nerves under control. I was like this when I got my GBS date, too. The secret must be to book these things asap so you don't have time to drive yourself crazy!! After all, I've lost 160 lbs, so I can't be that much of a wimp!!
