Comp Clinic and Illinois Medicaid

Okay I think I have decided to go with the Comp. Clinic. I know public aid does not pay even close to what the cost is of this surg. Has anyone with Illinois Medicaid been through there program and had surg? I am afraid I will pay the money for the program and then not get recommended for surg. because I have Illinois public aid. I also noticed on there site that actually only 40-60% of there patients have surg? Why? I do not mind paying the out of pocket costs for the program, but I do not want to do it if I am not going to have surg. I like there program and think it is well worth it, if I get to have surg. I been overweight since I was a child. I was very young the first time my mom drug me into Weigh****chers! Since then ( I am 34), I have paid for many programs, exercise classes and gadgets, been to dieticians, Doctors,bought diet pills presciption and nonprescription. I might as well of flushed all that money down the toilet. I did have some successes in the past but always regained what I lost plus some. They have been the nicest to me. Most of the places I called, as soon as I mentioned public aid were not very nice and acted like I was bothering them. Also I smoke. How do they deal with that? I know I should quit, but that means weight gain. Do have to quit before they will do surg? Thanks Shelli
