Nervous for Nothing!!!

So I want to thank everyone for the all the confidence!!! I met with the surgeon on Thursday!!! He was great! I actually am going to heve Lap Band instead of RnY which I was told by another surgeon could not by done and that if I had gastric it would HAVE TO BE OPEN- HA!! NOT!!! I have a scar from a previous surgery and was told that it would be a problem doing the surgery LAP-Not the case I am finding out!!!! Dr.Prystowsky took a look and suggested LAP BAND I was soooo surprized! Here I had given up on the thought of lap because of the other consult I had.GET SECOND OPINIONS EVERYONE!!!!I actually may be Dr.P's 1st Lap Band patient so there will be a rep. from the company that makes the Bands in on the surgery to walk him through but I feel so confident in getting this done.All the research I did on Rny Now I have to become an expert on LapBand.It's worth it ! So now I see the M.D.& Dietian on Jan3 and Dr said I sould plan to have surgery the first part of Feb.which is ALRIGHT WITH ME!!!! Lisa

If you can have the band done lap...you can have rny done lap.....
