Off To See the Wizard!
Well...
I have an appointment to see Dr. Frantzides on January 14th. I just changed my insurance from an HMO to BCBS (yeah, I know they are a headache - but they were the best of many bad choices).
So here I am at work looking at my Diet Coke can like a lover who knows that he has to leave soon. On the IPOD I am listening to Michael Peter Smith sing: "We will shoot for the moon in the carnival sky - We will shoot for the moon and our love will be high - And then when we get there we will let them all know - That our love is as rare as Carribean Snow."
Somehow, it all makes sense.
Thanks for all the information. Y'all should know you're an important resource for the many of us looking for a re-birth.
Cheers!
Happy Christmas (war is over if you want it!)

Congrats on your appointment! Dr. F was my surgeon on 10/25, and I love him... You will find out that he revolutionized the lap procedure and he is very caring. In addition, you will fall in love with Karen the Nurse, who has also had this procedure herself, and is a wealth of information. We have awesome group meetings monthly at each location. I am only 6 weeks out and down 43 lbs. and six sizes.
Take care and keep us posted!

Chandra, Rebecca and Brooke:
Thanks for your kind words. I am excited!
I'm hoping that BCBS doesn't live down to expectations. I've lost some weight over the past few months using doctor prescribed drugs. This could pose a bit of problem since BCBS might say the drugs are working let's give them a chance. Of course, the fact that I won't achieve a healthy weight for 10 years (and probably be dead by then) might not be seen as a mitigating factor by them. Seems pretty mitigating to me.
Cheers!
