GIA UPDATE!!
Ok guys .... I just talked to Rebekah...her Mom made it through surgery fine as far as they know...they havent been in to see her yet because she's still in recovery. Apparently her pain is still crazy and they're having a tough time controlling it. I dont think she expected so much pain. Anyway, once they get her pain below a 5 on a 10 scale, she'll be moved to a regular room. Rebekah is holding up remarkably well and Giovanna should totally be wicked proud of her!!!! Anyhoo...I'll let you know more as I find out
Love ya's!
Kath
Thank You so much for the update. I'm glad she is alright. She has an awesome little girl, and yes, she should be extremely proud of her.
The one thing I worry about is the pain. I've never had surgery of ANY kind, so I dont really know what to expect. Ive had 3 kids naturally, but I know that sooo doesnt compare to having your insides rearranged. So, we will see how I do. lol
Lora,
Everybody's a little different. Most of the time I felt general discomfort.. but still had some pain. Thank GOD for that little button!! The pain only got out of control one night but it was back under control within about 45 minutes and the nurse stayed with me until it was better..
The gas was worse than the whole pain of surgery.. and that goes away pretty quickly, too.
You'll do GREAT!
