COMP Clinic

Hey there, I just got a call from my doctors office, they've already sent in my information and I'm waiting for approval! They are trying to set me up with the COMP Clinic in Springfield. Has anyone had surgery there, or have any info?

Hi Angie I had surgery there about 6 months ago with Dr. Sutyak. Everyone there is absolutely wonderful. Cindy, a RN is the nurse coordinator who will set you up with your first fun filled day of appointments. You'll go through a little presentation from her and then meet with the medical director, psychologist (Sandi) and dietician (Erin). They are all wonderful people. I have heard nothing but great things about the comp clinic and I am schedual there on jan 19th. I was set for november 11th but had to cancel because of weather. can't wait to go.

Me! I've been working with the COMP Clinic for a little over a year now. I had an open RNY in September of this year, and am down approx 45 lbs! Dr. Peralta was my surgeon, and Dr. Sutyak assisted. I love them both dearly. Cindy - the nurse coordinator, bends over backwards to help all of us, from scheduling, insurance issues, advice etc... Date number 2?!?!?!? That's FANTASTIC!!! Sounds like things are going VERY well!!! Went to Walmart today and had a family picture taken. A little crazy - the kids were wild. I got it uploaded to PictureTrail - click on my profile, and then the website link - should be the 1st picture in the 'family album'. You can't make the December 10th Support Group, can you??? I'm hoping that SOME of my buddies will be able to!

*serious pouting* I can't make it next weekend - it's finals at school ... LOL I'm sooooo stressed right now and totally trying to keep everything in check! Tuesday is my 6 month mark and I'm a couple pounds away (thought it was 1 but now it's 2 lol) from the century mark. Even if I don't ... I think I'm still doing pretty good! The pic is great!!!! Those kiddies are soooo cute! I can't wait to see all my babies (nieces nephews cousins etc.) at Christmas! Kind bummed that I won't get to see you know who for a couple of weeks now. We had such a great time at the Christmas show and at dinner afterwards with a couple who are friends with him - I didn't want to come back lol. We're both off the week between Christmas and New Years so hopefully we will have some time then. Ahhhh back to the books! See you soon!!

Just an update... Cindy from the COMP clinic called today to set up my initial appointment, on January 20, 2005. I am so excited!
