Barix Clinic Roll Call
They are actually really good about letting you pick a date. My hubby is a firefighter, he works 24 hour shifts so I have to work around that. May in the scheduling office gave me a bunch of dates that were available and we picked from there. If Dr. Vaughn has an opening on the date you want and you have your approval I cant see any reason why you couldnt get that date....oh....and you have to go in for pre-op testing a week before your surgery date so keep that in mind when you pick a date also.
I wish I lived closer...I would come to the meeting too!
I am post op and I had Dr. Boe! I just adore him and the staff in Belvidere! They were so great with my mom and all while I was in surgery! And Dr. Boe went and talked to her while I was in recovery and explained everything to her! You just cant beat the nurses as most of them have had the surgery themselves!!
You will love them and Dr. Vaughn seems very nice also. I saw him at my two week follow up while I was signing in. Nice big smile!
I asked Dr. Boe why he chose this type of work and he said "I love what I do, and I get to do major surgery everyday!" I think thats why they are so good and are always smiling!
Good Luck!

Dr. Boe - May 20, 2003.
I got kindof mad after my last visit -1 year check up. He seemed dissapointed I hadn't lost more weight than I did and that I was able to eat "bad" thinks for me like sugar and high fat foods without any negative side effects.
I am 2 hours away from belvidere and I usually take time off work to my appointments; just to weigh in and talk to him for 15 minutes. I don't think I will be making any further annual checkups unless I see an issue.
