OUCH!
My husband just called...he fell down the icy steps in front of our house...RIGHT ON HIS STOMACH! He said it hurt, (and now he's dizzy) but there was no bleeding. Should we be concerned or call the surgeon? His first post-op visit is tomorrow, should we just wait till then?
FYI...funny story...Dr. recommends Maxi pads instead of gauze for the incision, cuz it drains naturally, some thin reddish liquid. So, my kids and I are doing the grocery shopping at Aldi the other day, and I turn to my 13 year old son, and say "Chris, go get some Maxi pads for your dad." The two women standing next to the freezers just turned and looked at me strangely... It didn't even dawn on me what I had said until I saw their faces.
It was pretty funny!
Anyway...I hope you guys can help with the belly flop...thanks!
Jennifer

Hey Jennifer!
I hope hubby's feelin' ok ... I'd say call and ask just in case, they'll probably be able to ask you ?'s about what he's feeling to see if anything indicates some sort of injury internally. That's just my opinion though
Hope you are doing well, too!

Thanks, Cathy...I am arguing
with him right now. He wants to wait (he keeps thinking that calling the surgeon makes him a wuss...) I want him to call. He'll probably win, because I'm at work, and he's got the number. But I'll get him back somehow...I'm thinking of some other questions I can make him ask the doctor tomorrow...like how soon we can...y'know...
OMG...the maxi pad story...I've been telling everyone...what I thought was great...I asked my SON to get pads for his DAD...they must have thought I was out of my MIND!!! (not that they're wrong!) The funny thing is, my son didn't care either, because we've been using them for gauze, and I don't even think he noticed...until I started telling everyone the story...It IS SO MUCH FUN TO EMBARRASS YOUR CHILDREN!!!! If for no other reason, everyone should have at least one kid to embarrass as a teenager. It is incredibly entertaining!
