Any Dr. Vaughn Patients out there???

just wondering if there are any patients of Dr. Vaughn's lurking around? I'm having my surgery with him on Jan 18th...anyone else gonna be there around that time?

I agree, I think he's a super nice guy, and a great listener, which is a #1 trait in a doctor. I'm going for my psych eval this afternoon, so I'm hoping to hear something by the first of the year. How long did your process take? Terry

yeah he is a great listener...and very supportive. I was questioning which procedure was best at one point...posting about it on here...and he saw the post and called me the next day to talk to me about it ...he wanted to make sure I was getting all the information I needed. My process didnt take long at all really...about two months from first visit with doc to approval from my insurance. Unfortunately I am my own worst enemy and prolonged the actual surgery myself because I'm a smoker and failed miserably trying to quit. But I'm on the right track now and Jan 18th will be here in no time

Ahh, Konni, I know how hard it is to quit. It's been 6 years for my husband and I, we went to a hypnotist. I think any method works, as long as you're ready to quit. I wish you the best of luck, you have the greatest incentive to do it. Terry

Tina, I'm assuming you had open RNY. How long did you have to stay off of work? Terry

I have Dr Vaughn too! He is super nice, but I don't have a date yet. I'm hoping late December or early January... so maybe we will be around the same time! Good Luck!
