Prayers for Grandma please... repost from main board

Hello my OH family. I just got a call from my mom who is in the emergency room with my grandmother who is 79 (her 80th birthday will be the 10th of Dec). Apparently she has some sort of hernia that is causing her a great deal of pain and the doctor wants to do surgery. However, I will not let them do it at the small town hospital where she is so I am waiting to find out where they are going to refer her to (Springfield or St. Louis). If you are the praying kind, please say a prayer for her. If you are not, please think good thoughts and keep your fingers crossed for her. She is the only grandmother I have left and helped raise me and get me through some really difficult times in my life. Thank you all for your kindess. Much love, Cathy

Hi Lora Thanks so much. She is going to be alright. They released her from the ER and she has to go have the hernia repaired, but when they gave her the morphine for pain, it relaxed her enough where the hernia went back in tonight. The roads were sucky! They're better now though. Hugs, Cathy
