Anyone else out there with BC/BS of Il. PPO who has to have a M.D. Supervised diet for 12 consecutive months out of the last 24 months before they consider you for approval? I have been seeing my family physician monthly now for about 6 or 7 months maybe more now. Do you feel after you meet this requirement, they will pay? Thanks for the feedback! ~TamiB~

My understanding is that BCBS IL PPO or any of their other plans are pretty strick with the 12 month thingy. I fortunately did not have to do that because they did not have that rule last year, nor did my husband who was paid for under my plan. Just keep on truckn and go to your doctor visits so you do not disqualify yourself by not going. Christine

hi I have bc/bs of illinois, and yes mine pays, I got a letter from my pcp and he stated that he supervised a two year diet attempt to no avail, and that was sent in to bc/bs, and they were satisifed with that letter on that issue. Yes I know they pay, I called them. If your physician writes he supervised weight loss your in. Go to obesitylawyers.com and it shows you examples of what your pcp should entail in his letter.
