Broke my toe friday :(

Well, just as my bedrest (for placenta previa pregnancy issues) REALLY eases up and I am allowed to do more and more each week my baby toe decides to wrestle with our cedar chest friday night and you can guess who won. My toe was black and blue with a couple really funny new bumps so Saturday hubby dragged me into the ER. doc wanted to xray it, and I had SERIOUS reservations about that, and the Xray tech agreed with me and said she wouldn't xray a woman preggo at 29 weeks. thankfully! they said I should get it xrayed after the baby is born at some point to make sure it sets itself properly, then taped it up. I pretty much figured that is all they would do, but there was the possibility of it being dislocated and cut off circulation in which case more would be done, so at least I ruled that out. It sure hurts and my OB doc okayed me to have tylenol 3 in very limited doses this weekend. I was already allowed that for my toothache that can't get fixed til after Edward is born. boy it's going to be a long wait til January 23! anyway it just feels like one of those homer simpson moments. OUCH!!!! My husband has some foot issues going on right now too! LOL Must be the season. I hope you are feeling good...it's coming sooner than you think. If you need ANYTHING you know you can call or email me. I'm just so darn excited for you!!!! Here's hoping your toe is just hurt and not broke too much. My husband is offering to set it for you. Thanks Melissa it is definitely broken, there are 2 bumps that were never there before so it will be a little deformed. It was already a little "off" from the same thing happening when I was 12 yrs old. The doc told me they dont really set it unless there is circulation being cut off and the chance of the toe dying from loss of blood flow. he wants me to check it after January and deal with it then so hopefully it won't have to be rebroken or anything awful. "sooner than you think" ,man you aren't kidding!!!! Only 11 weeks to go. I am not panicking but my to do list is way long and the calendar is way full. In about 3 weeks I start the weekly appts for the stress test thing. and the crib gets delivered on the 16th. we have the room mostly ready just about 6 more boxes to move into the garage. and I want to put some wallables decals up on the wall. I saw some lovely butterfly ones at Hobby Lobby last week. I got several more sewn/quilted blankets and crocheted baby afghans done lately too, plenty of time resting in bed still. I broke my pinkie toe when I was in college. Its amazing how such a tiny toe can cause so much pain and affect balance. I hope you feel better soon!
