teamsters 710 bc/bs of illinois, PPO

I submitted a letter from my PCP a week ago, now we are waiting for my surgeon to get his letter to the insurance company, I saw the surgeon a week ago, he said it would be submitted in a few days, now they say he is very busy and it might be another week. I call almost everyday, I am sure I am bugging to death the insurance company and surgeons office. I am getting the psychiatrist part out of the way, even if I am not approved yet, I see him tomorrow. So when I am approved, I can get this done and over with. I know if I am not approved, I am stuck with the bills, but I will appeal, appeal, appeal. We pay good money for this insurance, and they should provide this service. My attitude is that I will get this surgery no matter what. It is the answer for all of us who have been struggling with weight our whole lives. So, after the psychiatrist appointment, do they submit to the surgeons office, right/ he is the one wanting it. Not to BC/BS. I guess after the psychiatrist appt, all I can do is wait. I just wanted to get the groundwork done. Any suggestions or comments appreciated. thanks
