Debby-- when you come up, have Biscuit take you to Whole Foods. Go to the bulk foods section and find the soy protein powder. It's tasteless and disolves well. I like it a lot!! Stef

I have been using Beneprotein from day one. It's pure whey protein, no flavor and I mix it with everything from V8 to applesauce, to soup to ice cream for great shakes. It thickens the soup which works wwell for say beef stew, or cream soups because you don't notice the thickening. For the ice cream shakes I mix it with edy's grand light (eggnog flavor makes for a DREAM shake!!!!) 1/4c milk (lowfat) 1/4 Edy's Grand eggnog ice cream 4 scoops Beneprotein total fat=4.22g carbs=12.39 protein=27.42 calories=100 I mix the beneprotein into about 1/8 water first to blend it well so it disperses into the shake better and that adds water volume as well. There is no icky aftertaste and it doesn't do that foamy ick thing I notice so many other protein powders do, well I am sure it does, but not before I can get the whole thing down. Edy's strawberry cheesecake is another flavor that blends well into a great protein shake. Folks who have no problem with splenda or nutrasweet could probably find even better ice creams for lower carb counts. I tried so many flavored ones and hated every one. either that or I'd react to the splenda or Ace-K in them. It's very hard to find one without artifical sweetener so I've always just ket using my beneprotein I get it from Novartis nutrition but you can also order it from walgreens.com It comes out to around $10 per can with 6 g protein per scoop, 32 scoops per canister. As soon as I have my baby in January I am going back on the protein train. I've had to majorly up my carbs (esp. breads) so as to not lose weight during pregnancy. But I'll be doing shakes daily as soon as I can kick the carbs again. Colleen
