hello, new here, wanted to say hello to all. I am just starting my journey toward WLS... today I have decided to quit smoking as that is one of the requirements prior to surgury. So far so good, not one puff all day!!

Don't be shy to ask questions -- even if you think we've heard it a million times.. just ask.. there's usually someone around to offer help or advice..
We're like a big (but "shrinking"), extended family!!

Thanks so much.. that means alot. I know it is going to be a loonnng, long journey, just hope that it goes by quickly and uneventfully for the most part. only time will tell on that one i suppose.

WELCOME and good luck onthe quitting smoking. I had toquit for surgery also and it was hard but I did it. I did, however, fall back intothe habit post op. I am pledging to quit again once my life settles back down.
