2 days until my consultation! (wednesday)

Well I've made a list of my many many diet attempts. I've also made a list of my past surgeries. I'm working on the list of questions to ask the doctor about the surgery and recovery period. I've got my health card ready, directions to the clinic... I feel like I'm missing something though... any ideas on what it could be?

I wanted to wish you good luck on your consult day Brooke! Don't forget to ask about aftercare - like support groups, dietary, follow-ups 'n such things of that nature. They'll probably want to know what medications you're taking, vitamins and supplements, too. Just don't forget your list like I did ..... Hugz, Cathy

Congratulations on getting your first appointment! I read everything I could on the internet,bought one book about the surgery, I think you get a good idea of the highs and lows from reading peoples questions on this website. I have finished my consult and all the pretests,waiting for a date and insurance approval. Good luck to you....m+m in genoa il.

you are going to do great!! I had all my weightloss attemps, current medications, health problems all wrote out on a piece of paper, plus my questions and did pretty good. Once I got to the clinic, I realized I NEVER asked anyone where his office was there. Sooo I ended up walking from one end of the hospital to the other. When I go back in a few weeks, I'll know where to go this time though..lol AND I have NEVER been in or used a parking garage, I felt like a dope. I thought I was supposed to give it money first to be let in. Didnt know i was just supposed to get a ticket. So I pissed a few people behind me off trying to shove a dollar into something. It took me a few minutes, but I finally figured it out..lol That embarassed the crap out of me. I cant think of anything else you'll really need. My dr, covered pretty much all of my questions before I even asked them. But the ones he didnt, I asked. I'm really comfortable with him, and hopefully the ball starts moving faster now.
