Hello from the cornfields!!
First poster here again. Also in my area they are some upscale consignment shops that I have gotten some real nice outfits at. As far the resale shops you sometimes can put an outfit together but it is mainly casual clothes like jeans and tops. Tho I did get a couple of nice fall and winter coats last year that got me through the first winter.
Ok, there is a really nice consignment shop in Old Towne Bloomingdale (Bloomingdale, IL) called the Walk in Closet. Everything is neatly arranged in sizes and clothing whether it be a dress, pants, 2-3 piece suites, tops, blazers they even have costume jewelry and accessories. The prices are a little higher than a resale shop. I got a 2 piece red silk pants suit, lined no less there for $25. I have found tops and a couple of shawls there. They only take clothing that is less than 2 years old so you know that you are going to get something that is still somewhat in style. They are open on Sunday's. There is a smaller consignment shop in downtown Arlington Heights. It is north of the RR tracks on an east west street, I was not too impressed with this one. And there is another consignment shop in downtown Barrington, again north of the RR tracks. And now shoot I cannot remember the name of it. I have the site bookmarked on my computer at work. I have to be honest and say that I have not been there yet, but a friend of mine says that she went to try and locate it and she says that they were closed at the time but it looked like a nice shop. I will have to get back to you on what the name is of the one in Barrington. Christine
Copying and pasting them to keep in my planner lol. Thank you so much Christine! I haven't been up there in sooooo long. I love Arlington Hts, my boss took me to a tapas restaurant there when I passed my certification exam and it was wonderful. Thanks bunches for letting us all know about them!
