I have lost my daughter.
Hello amos family,
I don't post much but had to post this since it was from the mouth of a ten year old and they are so truthful at times. I am only allowed to weigh every Friday. I have a very supportive husband and kids. They also read the boards and decided before surgery that the scales should be hidden so I wouldn't be on them twenty times a day.lol Well I weighed in Friday for a grand total of 82 lbs gone. My daughter looked at me and said wow mom you have lost a Kimmy.lol Thats when it really hit me this surgery is really working. My daughter weighs 79lbs and I can't imagine carrying her around all the time. She looked at me and said will you ever loose a daddy.lol He weighs in at about 150lbs. I said I sure hope to loose a daddy.lol Well anyway I was just so excited that I had to post. My life has changed so much. I have went from a mom that couldn't get out of her chair to a mom that does everything and was able to go out and get a job that was the best part. I am so happy and would have this surgery over again. The only regret I have was chickening out five years ago when I had the opportunity to have it then. I am happy to say I will soon be as healthy as my children and my husband. WE have broken the cycle with our children and they are all within their normal weight limits. I hope to spare them what I have gone through. WEll have a great weekend time to go give the bathroom a good cleaning. Man can't believe I am typing that before the surgery I was lucky to even get in the shower to clean me.lol

I know just what you mean. Last night it dawned on me that I had lost more weight than my mother weighs -- and there's no way I could carry her around. So how in the world did I do it all those years???
She weighs 149 and I've lost 160 (and that doesn't include the 15 pounds I lost BEFORE surgery!).
No wonder my knees don't hurt now!
