Ins providers

Does anyone know who is better to deal with for this surgey beteen John Deere or BCBS? Any input that I can get to help choose for next year would be great.

Toni, it's going to depend as much on the plans as it does on the insurance provider. I know BCBS of IL tends to be a little.. umm.. resistant.. but my company is currently with a BCBS licensed provider out of Oregon (all the same doctors) who is FANTASTIC about the surgery.. and I don't know who John Deere has as their licensee. I recommend calling BOTH companies and asking what the prerequisites are.. and if the surgery is covered.. what kind of hoops do you have to jump through.. what doctors in your area are in network.. get all your questions into one place and then do some more research. Hi Toni, I have BCBS of Illinois and was just denied my surgery. They are sticklers about having been on a medically supervised diet for 12 months within the last 2 years. (The reason I was denied). Good luck. Liz
