West Suburban Docs/Centers?

Hi! I'd like feedback on Central DuPage's Bariatric Center and The Wish Center. I'd like to find a facility close to home so aftercare and meetings are convenient. I have heard that TWC requires you to pay $2000 upfront for aftercare? My PCP is behind Gastric bypass... he is actually on CDH's board of directors... I'm not just not sold on it yet. Peggy, Have you checked into New Self Bariatric (Suburban Surgical Center) out of St. Alexius/Alexian Brothers? I've been so pleased with them so far.. The office number is 888-639-7353 if you want to call about a seminar. The doctors and staff are wonderful and I didn't get hit with an up-front fee (could be my insurance). They're very thorough and treat you with a great deal of respect and kindness. I can't recommend them highly enough. Stef

Hi Peggy ~ I went through the Wish Center. You will go for your 1st meeting and they will run a bunch of tests for you and discuss what type of surgery options are available for you. Then the submit the paperwork to the insurance, when you go to your second appt. it is true that you will need the $2000. If you have more question's drop me an e-mail I am more than willing to help. Sorry, but I disagree with Martin, The WISH Center is a fantastic place to have your surgery. Their program is all inclusive. I had my surgery with them on 5/7/03 and went thru the program with flying colors. My husband had his surgery with the Kane group in Elk Grove Village and had to go all over God's creation to have all his testing done. Everything is done right at WISH.
