This thing is so gross!!!!! Next week I go in for my 3rd post-op visit and hopefully they take it out then. They didn't take it out yesterday because the dr felt I wasn't getting enough protein. He wants me to feed myself through it. YUK!!! It leaks some kind of fluid from the incision site thats forms a crust that is just sick!!! I don't feel 100% like myself with this thing attached. It's depressing me! I try to get in my proteins through shakes and egg stuff but that's not enough. Thanks for letting me vent! Laura 259/242.5/130

Good morning Laura ~ I didn't have any G tubes but I hope that you are able to get that thing out soon and get back to feeling normal. I had my surgery in June and I still can't get the required protein & water intake. It all takes time. I will keep you in my thoughts & prayers. Have a good day! Shelly

Laura, Why, exactly did you end up with a g tube in the first place? Who was your surgeon?

Hi Dixie As the surgeon said " It's your safety net". Meaning if anything went wrong they would be able to feed me through it. It's so gross and uncomfortable. Laura
