Got my "get out of jail free" card!-PG & off bedrest finally
Woohoo! well, I saw the high risk OB friday and am much happier. there is still a few issues to keep an eye on, my placenta is still attached too close to my cervix, but the doc said he guesstimated it only had a 10% chance of still being a problem as my uterus continues to expand. Baby is perfect size for 23 weeks and they saw all the brain and heart details they needed to see.
I have to totally take it easy on stay off my feet mostly, but am no longer officially on bedrest. I've been able to start really crafting now, but am careful to only stand up (at my cutting table) for 30-45 minutes at a time, then 2-3 hours in bed. Doc wants me to build my stamina up gradually to keep the baby safe.
I STILL didn't gain more than 2 lbs no matter what I ate the last few weeks. and that 2 lbs seems to disappear and reappear again every couple days. I mean I am secretly thrilled to not be ballooning out of control as my worst fears would make me think of, but I KNOW the baby needs to grow, and instead I see my arms, and legs getting even skinnier.
ANYWAY litle Edward is kicking me constantly and I love it. I finished 3 small blankets and 1 quilt with a second quilt 90% done (just ran out of green thread) Joanns fabrics had all their blanket fleece on sale until 10-2 so we wnt and picked out 2 dozen cool prints! we fouind quilted tye-dye rainblow fleece, embroidered penguins, unicorns, dalmation spots and other cool funky colorful fleece to make blankets and baby bunting outfits. Chazz bought me a serger a week and a half ago and I have just been sewing up a storm.
I have 2 cousins who were ahead of me in their pregnancy, Patty had her baby yesterday with only 2 hours of labor!!!! I want mine to go that smoothly! hahaha!!! my other cousin Vicky (Patty's sister) is 6 or 7 weeks further along than I am and also has placenta previa (where the placenta attaches too close or ON the cervix) and she just got put on bedrest and will stay there until her baby is born. She is at 30 weeks or so and they just want her to make it until 34 weeks if at all possible. I will SO be careful because i do not want another bleeding relapse and get stuck in bed again. There is so much still to buy for our nursery, we are going to IKEA to get the dressers this week. We have our crib, but not our glider or bassinet. Anyway I just wanted to let folks know how I was doing.

G'morning Colleen~
So glad to hear your good news! I so wish I was as creative and crafty as you. Or at least had the time to try to be lol.
Say hello to my old friend IKEA - I used to live less than a mile from there and miss all the hubbub now that I'm out here in the stix
Congrats to your family as well on their good news
Have a great week!
