Not to worry!!!! I had my pre-op testing just today!!!... It consisted of the EKG, blood test (3 vials), pulmonary test (blow into a tube) and a couple of chest x-rays. Basically, they listen to your heart, and that's about it... I was in and out in 50 minutes, and that includes 15 min in the waiting room!!! This all assumes that there hasn't been any changes to your body since the last time you were examined...like new allergies, other co-morbidities... easy.

Hi Tracy, Not to worry, there are just a few tests, they draw blood and do an EKG and ask a bunch of questions, then the anthesiologist (sp?) evaluates you and asks about the medicines you take and then they tell you what you can and can't take the day of surgery. Good Luck!
