just a small setback.....

hi everyone! just wanted to update you all on what's going on. i ended up back in the hospital for dehydration after a lot of vomiting this past week. they ran a bunch of tests, and found out i had a small ulcer that formed in just the past week. they started me on protonix and gave me lots of iv fluids, and now i'm feeling much better and am back at my mom's again. i was going stir crazy having nothing to do now that i'm feeling better, so i had my brother bring my car over today and drove 6 blocks to my house to see my pets and use the internet. i won't drive out of town til i'm officially cleared, but boy did it feel good to go somewhere. and to be alone for an hour.... i'm not a loner, but my mom doesn't drive and so she hardly ever leaves her apartment. she's been awesome to me, but you all know what it's like to be grown up and on your own. hard to go back to livin' with momma. even if she is wonderful!!! well, i'll try to keep in better touch now and hope everyone is doing great! talk to ya soon, tracy

Hey girl! I just emailed you, too . I hope you're feeling good now, what hell to have to go through! My first drive was 30 mins about 10 days post op and I just had to hold on and not drive like my usual self LOL. Anywho, I wanted to say I'll be in town next weekend for the Octoberfest and if you're up to it maybe we could go for a walk around up there or something. Lemme know and TAKE CARE! Huggzzz, Cathy

YIKES! Well, I'm glad that you're OK. You HAVE to get out of the house. It is SO important. Walk around the block or do SOMETHING. Here's to an uneventful recovery! Melissa

hi melissa! thanks, i'm feeling much much better!!! i agree about getting out of the house. i feel happier for sure. i was getting a bad case of cabin fever. i'm sleeping at my house tonight and am working toward returning home. i live alone so i have been staying with mom. well, thanks for your post! tracy
