Approved & Scared

Hello Everyone... I need a little bit of encouragement. My surgery date is Nov 29th, which is still a few months from now. As, I am gettting prepared, I feel a little part of me saying are you crazy!!! I guess with me talking to my childs daycare today, looking at finances, securing time of from work, etc....Really made me stop and think....I was told by a few of he obesity help members, that as of Jan 1st bcbs will no longer approve the surgery. I am looking at this thing as.....NOW OR NEVER...Please Help!

Tracy you are doing something positive to improve your life, I know this is scary and everytime I get worried about the "what if's" I remember I am not living now, and there are so many success stories here that I will be fine, I'm going to a good surgeon and it will be ok. Just think about how good your gonna fell you can run and play with your child and not have to sit down for a breather 5 minutes into it!!! Girl you will be just fine!!! HUGS!!! DEbby

Oh my you will be just great just think about all the fun things you will be able to do with out breathing hard or being looked at (well may be that one was for me LOL)I can't wait till I get my date LOL thats what I say now any way it may hit home once I have that date ... you will be just fine look you have so many people praying for you..and you did the worst part waiting on all the test and the inc... I will be looking for updates from you hope you have a great few weeks and better ones after your surg... Shelly

Tracy you are just being normal...Everyone goes through the doubts and fear thing. I almost backed out the night before surgery but since I had already done the bowel prep thing I thought what the heck?? No really I cried on my husbands shoulder and asked him if I was doing the right thing and he said yes and I went back and forth and if you don't have doubts than you wouldn't be human...It's in our genetic makeup.. The insurance thing IS a big issue too..GO for it while it's covered. I know it is the best decision I ever made. I dallied around with the idea of having RNY for 2 years before I finally had it done...Close your eyes take a deep breath and say three times.
