I went to a consultation

I took the first of my many baby steps. I went to a consultation yesterday with Dr. Boe at BTC. I LOVED him. He said the approx. waiting time for insurance approval is 6 -8 weeks. What does everyone say about that? What was your experiences?

I say keep on their insurance department! They told me to call back in a couple weeks and when I did someone got VERY rude with me. I continued to call anyways on a weekly basis... finally I found out this girl wasn't doing her job and by the time things got straightened out, my insurance had changed and BTC was no longer "in network". A friend of mine had her surgery with Dr. Boe and loves him and is doing very well at 20 months out. I wish you the best! Just keep on 'em!! Huggzzz, Cathy

Hi Nancy, I was one of the lucky ones. My paperwork was Faxed to United Healthcare on a Friday afternoon and approved the following Thursday...Now I am waiting for the doctors office to call and set everything up with a date....Good Luck
