Doing the bowel prep shuffle...
Hey Katie!
I'm so glad to see you on here! I wanted to wish you the BEST luck for tomorrow!!! That stuff they have you drink IS nasty, heck, I still get nauseous just thinking about it!!
I'm so very excited for you! I get to go see Erin tomorrow morning -- you might get to meet her hubby, he was one of the team docs that came in with/in place of Dr. S after my surgery but I don't know if the same people follow Dr. Peralta or not. Anywho ... good luck, good luck, good luck!!!!
Huggzzz
Cathy
Thanks Cathy! I understand they have all the same follow up team, and Dr. Sutyak is assisting, so he'll be there too!
I don't have much else to do right now besides hang out online and run to the potty!!!!
Oh yeah, I'm glad I just got past the drinking all three doses, because I was gagging and thought I'd and have to do it all over again! I got my PICC Line in this morning after a 2 hour wait at St. John's - URGH!!!! And, now all that's left is make it through this prep, take my antibiotics, and TRY to sleep before I have to get up at 4:00!!!!!
Katie
Oh girl I thought I'd all over LOL sorry, TMI ... as for sleeping ... I didn't, just tossed and turned allllllll night long! I had an hour drive from my mom's house and made it (scared my poor mother to death!), well we'll just say in record time LOL Is your surg at Saints or Memorial? Either place, most of the staff is wonderful. I had a tough food weekend, always do when I'm away for the weekend at school, Saturday was ok, but Sunday - ack ... drove home all 6 hours last night with a tummy ache but when I got home I was 5 pounds lighter lol.
Surgery is at Memorial. St. John's still doesn't have the equiptment to do the surgery. That was one of the stumbling blocks getting approval, because Personal Care Insurance usually won't cover MMC - only St's... however, they made an exception. Today, pre-surgery, I had to go to St. John's for the PICC line placement, and I had to do all pre-op testing at Saints as well.
