HELLO ILLINOIS FRIENDS

Hi !! I have been over on the main message board for quite some time and now wish I had checked in with the Illinois board sooner. I had my surgery on February 27, 2004 and am down 70 lbs (YEAH!!!) with Dr. Rantis from Suburban Surgical - surgery was done at Alexian Brothers. All went very well !! I live in Palatine, Il. Anyone else close by? Love to chat and have already enjoyed the back and forth here!! (Even though I have been a lurker until now). Will check in again !! Cindy

Hello Cindy and Anne, I have been looking for support groups in my area, other than the one I go to from the hospital. It would be nice to find more people in my area, I live in Wheaton, my mother lives in Palatine. I have a tentative surgery date of Oct. 4th. Keep your fingers crossed. Hi Cindy! I don't live close to you, but I work in Itasca and am a patient of Dr. Kane Jr.'s, also at Suburban Surgical Center. I've heard great things about Dr. Rantis and nearly chose him until I met Dr. Kane. Congratulations on your surgery and success so far!
